This year’s chosen youths come from various clubs and have exhibited remarkable dedication and aspirations. Let’s take a deeper look at these young achievers:
- Florence Club:
- **Kimora Hines Fryson** – A bright 6th grader from Williams Middle School with 7 years of club membership. Kimora dreams of becoming a licensed cosmetologist and stays active by playing city recreation basketball and flag football.
- Hartsville Club:
- **Aiden Green** – A talented 7th grader attending LOL Steam School of the Arts, Aiden has been a member for 8 years. His aspirations include becoming an entrepreneur and rapper, and he currently serves as the President of the torch club while enjoying classes on drone technology.
- Rick & Susan Goings Boys & Girls Club (Hemingway):
- **Taylor Lewis** – At only 8th grade level and attending Connexus Academy, Taylor, who has been part of the club for 7 years, dreams of becoming a criminal justice lawyer. As the youngest of 12 siblings, Taylor enjoys reading, cooking, sports, and volunteering as youth staff.
- Lake City Club:
- **Genesis Majors** – This senior from J. Paul Truluck School has spent 8 years in the club pursuing her dreams of becoming a nurse practitioner and athletic trainer. Genesis is an enthusiastic participant in dance, photography, and softball and holds the prestigious title of President of Dramatic Coffee Beans.
- Pamplico Club:
- **Paisley Bell** – A 5th grader from Hannah-Pamplico Elementary Middle School, Paisley, aspires to be a chef and hopes to study at Johnson & Wales University. She enjoys cooking, gardening, and drama. Her club membership details aren’t specified yet, but her talents surely speak for themselves!
- Timmonsville Club:

The Steak-N-Burger Dinner is set to take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 700 S. Park Ave. This delightful event not only brings together adults and club members but also offers many of our young guests the chance to experience steak for the very first time! Adults will enjoy juicy hamburgers while they mingle with our shining stars.
During this heartwarming dinner, the overall Youth of the Year will be announced, and scholarships from the Carraway Turner Leadership Fund will be awarded. All proceeds from this fabulous evening will support the Boys & Girls Club’s mission to foster responsible and caring citizens among our youth.
