Darlington County Drug Bust Leads to 4 Arrests off Lydia Highway
In a significant operation aimed at curtailing drug-related activities, authorities in Darlington County, South Carolina, achieved a significant breakthrough. A drug bust conducted in the area of Lydia synthesized in the arrests of four individuals.
The Arrests
Among the apprehended individuals are DeAngelo McFarland, De’Antre Cooks, Savion Evans, and Ashae McCall, who were caught during the operation carried out off Lydia Highway. The Darlington County Combined Drug Unit unravelled narcotics during the search warrant execution.
Charges Against the Accused
McFarland, who was arrested at the scene, faces the charge of intent to distribute marijuana alongside possession of a Schedule 2 narcotic. The investigators reportedly found acetaminophen and oxycodone pills in his bedroom. This marks his second encounter with a Schedule 2 narcotic offense and the third for marijuana offense, according to his warrants.
The investigators also charged Cooks with possession of a Schedule 2 narcotic and intent to distribute a Schedule 2 narcotic. In addition, he was accused of showing intention to distribute a Schedule 4 narcotic and marijuana. Multiple pills identified as amphetamine, oxycodone, and alprazolam were found in his room. His previous encounters with law enforcement include a conviction for a Schedule 2 narcotic and two offenses for intent to distribute marijuana, as per his available records.
On the other hand, Evans was charged with the second offense of marijuana possession. McCall was earlier apprehended on a uniform traffic ticket for simple possession of marijuana, as confirmed by the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.
Post-Arrest Scenario
All four individuals were released on bond the day following their arrest. However, their present legal situation is not entirely clear and further information is awaited.
