In a tragic turn of events, the driver of a 2001 Oldsmobile Sedan lost their life as the result of a single-vehicle accident on Old Salem Road near Maple Drive in Pamplico, South Carolina. The crash, which occurred around 3:10 PM on Friday, witnessed the Oldsmobile veering off the left side of the road and crashing into a tree, as reported by Lance Cpl. Nick Pye, South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and transported the severely injured driver to a local hospital in Florence. Unfortunately, the driver succumbed to their injuries and was reported dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Investigating officials have yet to release the identity of the deceased, as the Florence County Coroner’s Office continues its mission to inform the driver’s family members and loved ones about the unfortunate incident. The cause behind the car veering off track is still under investigation.
