Columbia and Greenville are buzzing with excitement as two local organizations, Benedict College’s Women’s Business Center and Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina, have teamed up to launch a fantastic new initiative called the NxLevel Business Accelerator Program. If you’ve ever dreamt of starting your own business or taking your current venture to new heights, then this 10-week program might just be your golden opportunity!
The NxLevel Business Accelerator Program is crafted to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with vital skills and knowledge needed to not just launch but also grow and sustain a successful business. It’s clear that anyone with a spark of an idea can benefit from this immersive experience.
This exciting collaboration officially kicked off with a signing ceremony on November 22, 2024, and the results have already been impressive. The first cohort of the program graduated 13 eager participants who are now armed with the tools to thrive in various industries including food and beverage, health and beauty, retail, and even education services!
Ready to take the plunge? The next orientation session is set for February 11, and you can choose to attend at either Goodwill location: Columbia (111 Highland Center Dr.) or Greenville (2550 N Pleasantburg Dr.). It’s a great opportunity to meet fellow aspiring entrepreneurs and learn more about what the program offers.
Classes are scheduled to kick off on February 18, with sessions held every week from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. This time slot is perfect for those who may have commitments during the day but want to invest in their future.
To jump on this opportunity, applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a passion for starting their own business. It’s important to note that due to the personalized nature of the training, the class size is limited to 20 participants per session. This ensures that everyone gets the attention they deserve as they navigate the exciting rollercoaster of entrepreneurship!
Once you’re in the program, get ready for hands-on training in crucial business areas such as accounting, insurance, business law, and social media marketing. The end goal? By the conclusion of the program, each participant will have developed and submitted a comprehensive business plan tailored to their specific entrepreneurial aspirations.
