Community Mourns Tragically Lost Local Man Brandon Shaun Tedder at Age 34

Community Mourns the Loss of Brandon Shaun Tedder

Florence County is coming together to remember a beloved son, brother, and friend, Brandon Shaun Tedder, who tragically passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. He was just 34 years old and lost his life due to injuries sustained in a heartbreaking accident.

A Life Full of Joy and Adventure

Brandon was born on July 9, 1990, and was known for his easygoing smile and warm heart. The son of Lonnie Elijah Tedder, Jr. and Deborah Collins Tedder, he grew up surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly. Brandon had a deep connection with nature and loved to spend his time fishing, a hobby that brought him a great deal of peace and happiness. And let’s not forget his affection for Mountain Dew, which was as much a part of him as his passion for the outdoors.

Support from Family

He is survived by his father, Lonnie Elijah Tedder, Jr.; his mother, Deborah C. Tedder (who is married to Kevin Sessoms); his brother, Vince Tedder (wife: Casey); his nephew, Dalton Tedder; and his two nieces, Kinzlee Tedder and Ava Tedder. Brandon’s family shared their deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received during this incredibly difficult time.

Remembering Brandon

While Brandon’s sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him, his spirit will live on through the memories that have been woven into the fabric of countless lives. Friends and family fondly recall the joyous moments spent together, the laughter shared, and the love that was always present. He will be missed deeply by all whose lives he touched.

Final Farewell Plans

The community is invited to pay their respects and join in remembering Brandon. On Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, family and friends will gather at Carolina Funeral Home to share stories and find comfort in each other’s company. Then, on Friday, September 20, 2024, funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM at the Carolina Funeral Home Chapel. Following the service, Brandon will be laid to rest at Matthews Cemetery in Coward.

A Community’s Support

As the community mourns, many are finding ways to support Brandon’s family. If you wish to honor his memory, flowers can be sent to the family, or you could consider planting a tree in his name, a fitting tribute to someone who cherished the outdoors.

Reaching Out and Coping with Grief

Coping with grief can be incredibly challenging. For those feeling overwhelmed by loss, it’s important to seek support from loved ones and community members. Many churches and support organizations are also offering help to those navigating their own grief. If you are interested, you might consider signing up for daily grief messages, which provide manageable and comforting thoughts during tough times. It’s a gesture that can remind you that you are not alone.

A Lasting Memory

Brandon Shaun Tedder’s life, though short, was filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the little things—like sipping a cold Mountain Dew while fishing on a sunny day. As we gather to remember him, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives and the memories that will forever remain in our hearts. He is gone, but his spirit will continue to inspire all of us who were lucky enough to know him.
