Darlington Church Unites Community with Back-to-School Giveaway Event

Darlington Church Brings Community Together with Back-to-School Giveaway

The Purpose To Live Ministries situated in the heart of Darlington, South Carolina, is set to hold an exciting back-to-school giveaway event this Saturday. The church’s pastoral team, led by Pastor Corey Milling, is geared up to block off the entire downtown square near the Main Street where the church is located, turning it into a safe and fun community gathering spot.

Back-to-School Bash with a Purpose

This grand event is arranged as a cheerful precursor to the upcoming school year and with the ethos of equipping the students with necessary back-to-school supplies. Pastor Milling and his dedicated team’s mission goes beyond just supplying necessities. The pastor said, “My heart is for the community. We teach on the inside. Just to build leaders for the outside. That’s what we do and this is something that we love to do“.

A Festive Celebration

In addition to supplying school essentials, the back-to-school occasion will also feature a musical concert. Local church choirs and groups are all set to fill the atmosphere with embellishments of powerful melodies and uplifting harmonies. The entertaining lineup also includes the well-known musical talent of Darlington, Minister Derrick Bull. Bull has earned admiration and respect due to his love for music and his passion to work with and uplift the youth of the community. Talking about the power of unity, Bull says, “Collaboration is key. And our children, investment into our children. Not after something has happened. We come down on the square, collaborate in music. Collaborate in giving. And collaborate with everything you’ll see in singing“.

Community Coming Together

In this community-bonding initiative, the church is not working alone. An organization called R.I.S.E. Pee Dee, represented by Timesha Clements, is delighted to partner with Purpose To Live Ministries in hosting the event. Clements expressed her anticipation for the event, saying, “When we all come together, something amazing can happen. We have a bright future together. And we want to invest in our future. They are wonderful here in Darlington County“.

The festive event, aside from its various engaging activities, will also have food trucks, clothing giveaways, and prayer sessions. It starts at 10 a.m. this Saturday in the square in Downtown Darlington and is expected to wrap up around 3:00 p.m. This ambitious initiative by the Purpose To Live Ministries not only celebrates the spirit of learning and education but also reiterates the strength of community bonding and collective collaboration.
