The restaurant will serve Nashville-style hot chicken and a variety of sides, catering to all spice levels. With outdoor seating and a drive-through, it aims to enhance the local dining scene. As the opening date approaches, job opportunities for approximately 80 team members will also be available.
Florence is buzzing with excitement as the old Hardee’s on West Palmetto Street, right by the Florence Mall, undergoes a fabulous transformation into a brand-new Dave’s Hot Chicken. With its grand opening slated for mid-June 2025, locals are eagerly awaiting the arrival of this popular fast-casual dining spot that first started causing a stir in Hollywood.
The renovation is already underway, with crews hard at work. If you’ve driven by recently, you might have noticed three huge dumpsters filled to the brim with debris, hinting at the exciting changes taking place inside. As of late February 2025, construction crews have been focusing on the roof, making sure everything is just right for the upcoming launch. The address for this soon-to-be hot spot will be 1923 W. Palmetto St., snugly located next to a Starbucks.
What can Florentines expect from Dave’s Hot Chicken? Get ready for a taste sensation as the restaurant promises to serve up mouthwatering Nashville-style hot chicken tenders and sliders. Besides the tasty chicken offerings, the menu will be packed with delicious sides including house-made kale slaw, gooey mac and cheese, and crispy seasoned fries that are bound to have your taste buds dancing.
One of the most exciting aspects of the menu is the seven spice levels available. Whether you’re someone who prefers a gentle kick or you love a fiery challenge, there’s an option for everyone. If you’re brave enough to try the “Reaper” spice level, be prepared to sign a waiver before diving into that culinary adventure!
Not to forget those looking for a tasty plant-based option, there will be cauliflower tenders and sliders available. You can wash it all down with a selection of beverages, including creamy milkshakes, various soft drinks, and refreshing bottled water.
Expecting a crowd? No problem! This new location will boast seating for 70 patrons and even has plans for outdoor patio space, making it a perfect spot for a sunny lunch or a cozy dinner. Plus, a drive-through lane is set to make lunch breaks or late-night cravings even easier.
As the opening date approaches, the restaurant will be looking to hire around 80 team members. Applications are expected to open up in May 2025, so if you’re on the lookout for a job, keep your eyes peeled! With the current pace of construction, everything seems to be on track for a smooth opening.
For those unfamiliar with the brand, Dave’s Hot Chicken first began as a late-night chicken stand in East Hollywood back in 2017, and it quickly gained a strong following. Flash forward to December 2024, and the chain had expanded to 283 locations across the United States, including three spots in South Carolina. Now, Florence is joining that exciting trend!
This opening adds to a vibrant food landscape in Florence, where new eateries keep popping up. In addition to Dave’s Hot Chicken, locals can look forward to an upcoming Panda Express near Magnolia Mall and the recently opened bubble tea haven, Meow Tea, which has been serving delightful drinks and sweets since November 2024.
The countdown to mid-June 2025 has begun, and residents of Florence are ready to spice up their dining options with the arrival of Dave’s Hot Chicken. Mark your calendars, folks, this is one opening you won’t want to miss!
