In a pivotal move for local healthcare, John Byrnes has been named the chief quality officer and senior vice president for quality and safety at McLeod Health. With a remarkable career spanning over 25 years, Byrnes brings experience from various health systems across the United States. He previously held the role of chief of medical affairs at ChenMed in Miami, ensuring he comes with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in improving patient care.

Byrnes stated, “Health care is a constantly changing environment, and we must adapt to improve the quality and safety for our patients.” His mission is clear, and residents can look forward to enhancements in health services. Byrnes holds a medical degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine and completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in anesthesiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
