Florence County Animal Shelter Waives Fees to Help Pets Find Forever Homes

In a bid to provide animals a treasured place they can call home, the Florence County Animal Shelter has announced a special adoption program that goes the extra mile. For the next several weeks, the North Carolina-based shelter will be waiving adoption fees. Their drive, aptly named ‘Find Forever Homes’ initiative, has commenced on July 29th and will continue until August 16th.

The fee-waiving adoption event is part of a larger effort led by Pick Me! SC, an organization dedicated to finding homes for animals in need. Together with the Florence County Animal Shelter, these organizations aim to help all potential adopters bring a new pet into their homes without the burden of additional financial pressures.

“Our goal is to ensure that every animal finds a loving home”, says Todd Floyd, an executive at the Animal Shelter of Florence County. “By waiving adoption fees, we hope to remove any financial barriers that might prevent potential adopters from welcoming a new pet into their lives.”

Finding Forever Homes for Furry Friends

The Florence County Animal Shelter has a long-standing commitment to provide rescue animals with a second chance at a happy life. With the ‘Find Forever Homes’ initiative, the shelter hopes that more families and individuals will open their doors and their hearts to a furry friend in need.

People interested in taking part in the adoption program can visit the shelter Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All adopters are required to have a valid ID for the process. In addition, visitors will also have the opportunity to learn more about the shelter’s various programs, as well as volunteer opportunities available to them.
