Florence is buzzing with excitement this week as HopeHealth introduces its newest member, Dr. Gulce Solakoglu, a dedicated endocrinologist committed to improving the health of our community. Situated in the HopeHealth Medical Plaza in Florence and at the HopeHealth facility in Manning, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her practice.
Dr. Solakoglu’s journey began at the prestigious Acibadem University School of Medicine in Istanbul, Turkey, where she earned her medical degree. But that was just the start of an impressive educational journey. She landed in New York to complete her residency in internal medicine at Lincoln Medical Center, affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, honing her skills and knowledge in a bustling metropolis.
Not one to rest on her laurels, Dr. Solakoglu advanced her studies further by undergoing a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Her hard work didn’t go unnoticed; she was awarded a certificate of academic achievement, highlighting her commitment to excellence in her field.
So what can patients expect when they visit Dr. Solakoglu? She specializes in a wide array of conditions including diabetes mellitus, various thyroid disorders, adrenal gland disorders, and much more. Her expertise also extends to managing osteoporosis, obesity, and disorders related to the male and female reproductive system. Essentially, if it’s an endocrine-related issue, Dr. Solakoglu is here to help!
Speaking both English and Turkish, she aims to break down communication barriers, making her care accessible for many in the community. She is also affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, amongst others, showcasing her commitment to staying updated in her field.

As if the arrival of a new physician wasn’t enough to celebrate, local weather is adding its own twist to the week! Florence is expecting some rain, with a forecast predicting a high near 70°F and a quién 100% chance of precipitation. Keep those umbrellas handy! Rainfall could reach between 2 to 3 inches, so it might be a good idea to stay inside and plan your visits to healthcare services for when the weather clears up.
