Florence Housing Authority Hosts Job Fair
Florence, a city located in South Carolina, witnessed a remarkable event aimed at reducing unemployment and boosting the economy on September 3rd, 2024.
The Housing Authority of Florence joined forces with the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) to organize a job fair. This collaborative effort took place at the authority’s headquarters on West Palmetto Street from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

With more than two dozen businesses setting up stalls at the fair, there was an overwhelming response from job seekers. The lineup of participating companies spanned a range of industries, including hospitals, restaurants, and manufacturing enterprises, all eager to hire fresh talent.
An official from the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce noted, “Everybody is trying to go back to work. And they’re looking for their niche in trying to get a job.”
