Exciting News in Florence: Poké Town Goes Brick-and-Mortar!

Folks in Florence have something to chatter about! Poké Town, which began its tasty journey as a charming food trailer in March 2023, is now spreading its wings and has officially transitioned to a delightful brick-and-mortar restaurant. Located at 2509 S. Cashua Drive, this new spot has already started welcoming food lovers, making tongues wag with excitement.

A Smooth Transition

After a successful run as a food trailer, which unfortunately is no longer operable, the three ambitious partners behind Poké Town – Glenda Conrad, Feeling Schumann, and Bao Li – have taken a significant leap into a permanent location. The soft opening kicked off on March 10, 2025, a delightful day for fans eager to get their poké fix, and this soft launch has now been extended well into mid-March. If you haven’t paid a visit yet, mark your calendar for March 19 and 20, where the restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. – perfect timing for lunch!

A Menu Packed with Flavor

You’re in for a treat when you step inside this new eatery! The owners are all about bringing tasty, fresh options to the table. The new menu features a mouthwatering variety of items, including poké bowls, bubble waffles, salads, sashimi, and tantalizing boba drinks loaded with tapioca pearls.

What’s particularly exciting is the introduction of bubble waffles, which add a fun twist inspired by Korean street food. So, whether you’re craving something sweet or want a savory poke bowl, Poké Town is sure to satisfy your cravings!

A Rainbow of Choices

When it comes to poké bowls, you’re not just limited to one kind. The bowls are stylized and come with a selection of unique signature sauces that’ll take your taste buds on a flavorful ride. With saucy options like poké colada, yum yum, zesty cilantro ranch, sesame garlic, roasted red pepper, and spicy mayo, you’ll be hard-pressed to choose just one! And for the protein lovers out there, you’ll find various tasty choices including chicken, shrimp, and fresh sashimi.

Overcoming Obstacles

Transitioning to a permanent location hasn’t been without its challenges, though. The partners faced everything from equipment failures and system snags to employee turnover as they shifted from a trailer to a full-service restaurant. Nevertheless, the grit and determination behind Poké Town have shined brightly through these hurdles. The restaurant’s decor and layout were entirely created from scratch, with the partners handpicking tables and decor to create an inviting atmosphere that’s bound to draw people in.

Hours & Community Impact

Once the restaurant is fully operational, you can expect it to be open every day of the week, from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. This allows plenty of opportunities for locals to enjoy all that Poké Town has to offer.

Poké Town is not just a standalone venture; it’s part of an exciting wave of new eateries popping up in Florence. Alongside freshly opened favorites like Wingstop, Slim Chickens, Dunkin’, and Monarca’s Mexican Restaurant Bar & Grill, the local food scene is thriving!
