Russell Fry Visits Florence: Urges Community Engagement and Active Participation in Politics

Expressing his optimism for Florence’s future, he noted, “Florence is uniquely poised, they’ve got I-95 and I-20. They’ve got the battery plant coming, a lot of great things happening in Florence County. You look at the opportunity not only here but how it impacts the region. It’s absolutely huge.”

Recognizing the region’s influence within the state, he confidently predicted, “As goes Florence, so goes the rest of the state of South Carolina.” He encouraged the community to elect progressive leaders who would work cohesively to ensure a prosperous future for Florence.

Fry, who hails from Socastee, left Florence after the meeting to attend a Veterans Resource and Appreciation Day scheduled at Horry-Georgetown Technical College the next day.
