Orangeburg, South Carolina – A South Carolina State University (SCSU) sophomore was apprehended on February 6th in response to gunfire reports triggering an hour-long lockdown on the Orangeburg campus. Immediate Response

Upon receipt of reports alleging gunfire in an academic building, the SCSU campus police “immediately subdued the suspected shooter in a foot chase,” stated the university release. However, detailed information about the shooting incident cannot be given out as of yet, clarified a university spokesperson. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in connection with this worrying event.
