Undercover Investigation in Florence County Leads to Multiple Arrests, Seizure of Drugs and Firearms

A month-long undercover narcotics investigation recently concluded in Florence County, South Carolina, resulting in multiple arrests and the seizure of substantial quantities of drugs, firearms, and cash according to the county’s Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators.

Largest Drug Bust on Cow Pasture Road

The operation came to a head on Thursday when Narcotics Investigators, supported by the local SWAT team, executed search warrants at two residences located on Cow Pasture Road. Inside the first property, the teams reportedly discovered cocaine, marijuana, six firearms, and approximately $4,000 in cash.

Authorities believe the cash seized during the operation is likely to be proceeds from the sale of illegal narcotics. The operation led to the significant disruption of what the authorities believe to be a local drug ring operation.

Multiple Arrests Made In Connection With The Investigation

During the operation, Kadeem McFadden was apprehended and found to be in possession of marijuana leading to his instant arrest. Moreover, Timothy Lamont McFadden was also apprehended and has been accused of two counts of distribution of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of cocaine.

In another residence located on the same street, authorities arrested Robert Dwayne Ham. He now faces charges, including the distribution of crack cocaine, possession of a controlled substance (later identified as Adderall), and posession of a weapon during a violent crime.

A search warrant executed on this property resulted in the discovery of crack cocaine, Adderall, and two firearms. All three suspects were escorted and booked into the Florence County Detention Center.

A Gritty Blow to Local Narcotics Operations

This operation marks a significant step forward in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking and associated crimes within Florence County. The undercover operation’s success demonstrates the effectiveness of law enforcement tactics and partnerships such as joint-operations between Narcotics Investigators and SWAT teams at a local level. The effort to combat drug operations will continue with an aim to promote safer neighborhoods and communities across the county.

The nature and magnitude of the operation underline the severe drug issue that the local community is grappling with. However, it is an encouraging testament to the law enforcement agencies’ commitment to confronting directly and tackling head-on such problems that endanger community safety and well-being.

Law enforcement officials urge the public to continue their support by reporting any suspicious activities that may pertain to the distribution or consumption of illegal narcotics. Insights from residents can be invaluable in shedding light on clandestine operations, leading to the disruption of illegal activities and promoting overall community safety.
